My name is Olivia Shapley and I live here in Eugene with my partner and free-spirited daughter. My passion for doula work was kindled after my own pregnancy and postpartum experience as I found it to be an area of misinformation and lack of support.  Reaching out, I became involved in a local organization Daisy C.H.A.I.N., providing the community with free postpartum support services. Through my two years with DC, I have been able to explore my passion for the postpartum experience and realize my desire to become a doula.
After becoming fully certified in 2016 as a Postpartum Doula (CAPPA), I strive to change the idea of what it means to "give birth," which is a broad spectrum including adoption, miscarriage, and abortion. As a doula, my role is fluid; shifting from one family to the next based on their needs. By creating this safe space of non-judgemental support, I am committed to making a difference. With wrap-around evidence-based support, trauma-informed care, and a nourishing postpartum period, I aim to empower parents to find their new normal.
